I often have people contacting me and asking if they should buy leads to jump start their NPN business. My answer is always no. I have never bought leads. When you become a member of the NPN, there is a section where you can buy leads under the heading “Quality MLM Leads.”  I personally don’t recommend that to anyone.  There are  a lot of great features in the NPN, but I think buying leads is a waste of your money because it starts a vicious cycle of having to spend more and more money to build your business. The whole point, I think for getting online to make money Is To Make Money, well if your only way to to generate sales or leads is to keep buying them, you are going to dig yourself into a huge hole fast.

I am personally using a software program that pulls leads from Craigslist, Kijji, and Backpage. What is so great about it is people are actually looking for what I have to offer. Also, the information gathered can be set at any date you want. So if you are selling flat screens tv you can plug in that keyword phrase and pull up people who are searching for a flat screen tv and are ready to buy right now. If you are an Ebay affiliate partner than this is incredible because you can contact the buyers right from the software and let them know exactly where they can buy the TV they are looking for.

Here’s a tip: Local search is huge. One thing you can do is generate leads for local business and sell them these leads you get from using this software.  Let’s say there is a used car business in your area.  You can load up this software, find people in your exact area that are selling used cars and then sell their information as leads to a used car dealership in that area. They can then contact these sellers and see if they would like to sell their used car to them instead. Really, the possibilities are endless.  Another great idea is Real Estate.  You can find people looking to sell their homes and sell those leads to real estate agents.

Why this software separates these leads from buying leads is you know they are real, they are extremely targeted and they are looking for certain items NOW. You can’t be sure of any of that when you buy leads.
